Created a cost-effective 3D scanning pipeline using smartphone cameras and photogrammetry, winning the MakeOhio hardware competition.
This project stemmed from a challenge: making 3D object scanning accessible without expensive LiDAR or industrial scanners. Our team developed a workflow where standard smartphone cameras capture image sets, which are then stitched using photogrammetry to reconstruct detailed 3D models.
"A clever and cost-effective solution that lowers barriers to cutting-edge technology." – Judge, MakeOhio
